Guava


Guava is another exotic fruit that's especially high in the antioxidant lycopene. Lycopene has been shown to decrease the buildup of plaque on the walls of arteries. Studies have shown that consuming high amounts of lycopene may cut the risk of heart disease by as much as 50 percent!

Any fruit is good fruit. Some studies find a lower risk of cancer among people who eat more fruits and vegetables rich in carotenoids and vitamin C. Others find a lower riskamong people who eat more of any fruits or vegetables. But fruit aficionados may want to pick the most nutritious of the bunch.
